Consultant Cardiologist – Heart Failure (Advanced) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Cardiologist with advanced training in Heart Failure to join our Cardiology Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive management of acute and chronic heart‑failure patients, including complex and advanced cases, and contributes to building a dedicated advanced heart‑failure service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation and management for acute and chronic heart‑failure, cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension patients.
• Assess and coordinate advanced therapies such as mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation.
• Run outpatient heart‑failure clinics and deliver inpatient consultation services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary heart‑failure, cardiomyopathy and transplant meetings.
• Perform and interpret echocardiography and other cardiac imaging studies.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, interventional cardiologists, intensivists and other specialists.
• Contribute to clinical protocols, quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Teach, train and mentor residents, fellows and junior physicians.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized school and completed residency in Internal Medicine.
• Accredited Cardiology fellowship (or equivalent) with board certification or specialist qualification.
• Additional fellowship or advanced training in Heart Failure / Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is highly desirable.
• Valid eligibility for Department of Health Abu Dhabi licensure.
