About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a Western qualification to join its state‑of‑the‑art cardiac surgery centre. The role involves delivering complex cardiac and thoracic procedures while collaborating with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex cardiac surgeries such as CABG and valve replacements.
• Conduct thoracic procedures and other advanced operations.
• Manage pre‑operative assessment and post‑operative care of patients.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate surgical logbooks and documentation for licensing.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognised specialist qualification in Cardiothoracic or Cardiac Surgery (e.g., UK CCT/FRCS, American Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian FRACS, European Board).
• Minimum 3–5 years of post‑specialisation/consultant experience.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOHAP consultant licensing.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
