Consultant Emergency Medicine (Western Qualified)

About the role

A leading private hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine with Western board qualification. The role involves rapid assessment, diagnosis, stabilization and treatment of acute and traumatic cases while leading a multidisciplinary emergency team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care, including resuscitation, trauma management and critical care stabilization.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced emergency department.
• Ensure adherence to evidence‑based protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with Western Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, Irish or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post‑board experience as a Consultant Emergency Medicine physician.
• Eligibility for DHA, DOH or MOH Consultant licence (or currently licensed in the UAE).
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Centre, tertiary hospital or JCI‑accredited facility is preferred.
