Consultant Gastroenterologist (American Board/UK CCT)

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist for a leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates. The role offers the chance to work in state‑of‑the‑art facilities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver patient‑centered care at an international standard.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and biliary disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and specialised interventions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, conduct comprehensive patient consultations and ensure thorough follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and dietitians to optimise patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, clinical research and continuous medical education while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• American Board Certification, UK CCT, or another recognised Western qualification in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board/CCT experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist.
• Extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and management of complex gastrointestinal cases.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
