Consultant Hand Surgeon (UK CCT) – Private & Government Healthcare

About the role

A leading UAE healthcare facility is seeking a UK‑CCT qualified Consultant Hand Surgeon to join its specialist surgical team. The role involves delivering high‑quality hand, wrist and upper‑limb care to both private and government patients.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex hand, wrist and upper‑limb conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency hand and wrist surgeries, including trauma, tendon, nerve and fracture repairs.
• Carry out reconstructive and microsurgical procedures.
• Provide pre‑operative assessments and post‑operative follow‑up.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic, plastic, rehabilitation and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching activities and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery with a hand‑surgery fellowship/training.
• Relevant post‑CCT experience in hand and upper‑limb surgery.
• FRCS or equivalent specialist qualification (preferred).
• Current GMC or equivalent specialist registration.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant/Specialist classification.
• Strong clinical, surgical and communication skills.
