Consultant – Infectious Diseases & Prevention (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Infectious Diseases & Prevention to join a leading hospital in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on diagnosing, managing and preventing infectious disease outbreaks within the hospital and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients with infectious diseases through examinations, history taking and laboratory investigations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in research and stay current with emerging evidence in infectious disease management.
• Work with infection‑control teams to create and enforce policies that limit disease transmission.
• Educate patients, families and the community on disease causes and prevention strategies.
• Design and deliver training programmes for staff on infection prevention and control.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• Board certification in Infectious Diseases (UK CCT, US Board, Canadian Board or equivalent).
• Minimum five years of experience as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases.
• Proven experience in managing and preventing infectious disease outbreaks.
• Strong communication skills, problem‑solving ability and a patient‑centred approach.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
