Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist Abu Dhabi

About the role

A leading tertiary‑care hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an accomplished Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist to join its Neurosciences and Radiology Institute. The role involves delivering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic neuro‑interventional procedures for adult and pediatric patients while supporting service expansion and academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of neuro‑interventional procedures, including mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, aneurysm coiling and flow‑diversion, AVM/AVF embolisation, tumour embolisation, carotid and intracranial stenting, and spinal vascular interventions.
• Interpret advanced neuro‑imaging studies such as CT, MRI, CTA, MRA and DSA.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for complex neurovascular conditions.
• Participate in 24/7 stroke and neuro‑interventional on‑call coverage.
• Collaborate closely with neurology, neurosurgery, critical care and emergency medicine teams.
• Develop clinical pathways, protocols and quality‑improvement initiatives for the neuro‑interventional service.
• Mentor junior radiologists, fellows and technologists.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognised institution.
• Board certification in Radiology (American Board, Royal College, Arab Board or equivalent).
• Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology or Endovascular Neurosurgery.
• Minimum 8–10 years of post‑specialisation experience, including consultant‑level practice.
• Eligibility for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH/HAAD) consultant licensure.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
