Consultant Neurologist – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Ahalia Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Neurologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered neurological care in a busy clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders, including stroke, trauma, demyelination, and neurodegenerative diseases.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, pain medicine, physiotherapy, and radiology colleagues.
• Provide specialized services such as sleep disorder management, neuroimmunology, neurogenetics, and behavioral neurology.
• Refer patients for vestibular function tests and polysomnography sleep studies.
• Perform and interpret lumbar punctures, electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) tests.
• Document patient records, symptoms, medications, and treatment plans accurately and promptly.
• Counsel patients and families on neurological conditions and treatment options.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the UAE with a valid UAE medical license (DOH/DHA/MOH).
• Relevant qualifications and experience as a Consultant Neurologist.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and patient‑management skills.
