Consultant Neurosurgeon

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Neurosurgeon to join a leading hospital or multispecialty healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive neurosurgical care, from diagnosis to surgical and non‑surgical management, peri‑operative care and follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spinal surgeries for trauma, tumours and vascular conditions.
• Utilise MRI, CT, angiography and other investigations for patient evaluation.
• Provide pre‑operative counselling and explain treatment options, risks and expected outcomes.
• Lead peri‑operative management and ensure appropriate post‑operative follow‑up.
• Manage neurosurgical emergencies such as traumatic brain/spinal injuries, intracranial haemorrhage and acute neurological deterioration.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, tumour boards and clinical audits.
• Maintain accurate medical records, operative documentation and evidence‑based clinical protocols.
• Supervise, teach and mentor junior doctors and healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Experienced and highly skilled neurosurgeon capable of managing complex cases.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and DHA privileging processes.
