About the role

The Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist will deliver patient‑centred, evidence‑based care at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. The role involves providing high‑quality clinical services while adhering to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, ethical clinical care to paediatric gastroenterology patients.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management standards and maintain accurate medical records.
• Promote continuous professional development for self and junior colleagues.
• Uphold integrity by delivering services responsibly and ethically.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree plus a recognised fellowship or diploma in paediatric gastroenterology accepted by UAE health authorities.
• Specialty registration and active life‑support certification (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience at consultant level, preferably with at least 1 year in a Tier 1 country.
• Ability to support clinical clerkship training for medical students and junior doctors.
• Proficiency in using an electronic medical record system.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
