Consultant Pathologist (Australian Board) – Private Hospital

About the role

A leading private hospital in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior Consultant Pathologist who holds an Australian Board qualification. The role involves delivering expert diagnostic pathology services, supporting clinicians, and ensuring high‑quality laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and report histopathology, cytology, hematology, microbiology and other laboratory investigations.
• Provide clinical consultation to physicians on diagnostic findings and appropriate investigations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings such as tumor boards and case discussions.
• Oversee laboratory quality assurance, accreditation compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior pathologists, residents and laboratory staff.
• Contribute to clinical audits, research activities and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.

Required profile

• Australian Board certification in pathology.
• Extensive experience in anatomical and/or clinical pathology.
• Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and laboratory standards.
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
