Consultant Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology

About the role

The Consultant Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based cardiac care for children. This senior position involves direct patient management, supervision of junior staff, and active participation in hospital governance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up for pediatric electrophysiology patients.
• Conduct patient examinations, obtain histories, order and interpret investigations, and prescribe therapies.
• Lead ward rounds, manage inpatient and outpatient caseloads, and ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train junior doctors, residents and allied health professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with other specialties.
• Deliver on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights and weekends.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital, DOH and regulatory standards.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical audits and risk management activities.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with a recognized specialty training program (Board Certification, Royal College Fellowship, or equivalent).
• Post‑graduate qualification such as MD, MS or DNB preferred.
• 3–7 years of post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Valid DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) medical license.
• Eligibility to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
