Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering specialist diagnosis, treatment and long‑term management for children and adolescents with blood disorders and cancers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumours, anemia and clotting disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical protocols and evidence‑based practice.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy and supportive care, and oversee bone‑marrow transplantation when required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams – paediatricians, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals.
• Monitor patient progress, treatment response and complications, adjusting management plans as needed.
• Provide counseling, education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the care journey.
• Participate in tumour boards, clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in paediatric haematology‑oncology.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD) from a recognised institution.
• Specialty training in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology with a UK CCT, US or Canadian board certification, or equivalent.
• DOH Abu Dhabi licence or eligibility.
• Minimum 5 years post‑board experience in paediatric haematology/oncology.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
