Consultant / Specialist Medical Oncologist – Dubai, UAE

About the role

We are a leading tertiary‑care hospital in Dubai expanding its oncology services. The Consultant / Specialist Medical Oncologist will join a multidisciplinary cancer care team to provide comprehensive, evidence‑based treatment for a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with solid tumours and selected haematologic cancers.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted and hormonal therapies.
• Administer and monitor systemic cancer treatments, ensuring safety and protocol compliance.
• Assess treatment response, adjust management strategies and manage therapy‑related toxicities.
• Participate in tumour board meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Coordinate referrals to surgical oncology, radiation therapy, palliative care and other specialties.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in line with hospital policies and UAE regulations.
• Contribute to clinical audits, research activities and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or specialist qualification in Medical Oncology (e.g., American Board of Internal Medicine – Medical Oncology, UK CCT/MRCP/FRCP with oncology training, European Board).
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience.
• Experience in outpatient oncology clinics, inpatient consultations and systemic therapy management.
• Familiarity with international oncology guidelines and UAE healthcare regulations.
