Consultant Specialist Pulmonologist (Australian Board)

About the role

A leading healthcare group in Dubai is looking for an experienced Consultant/Specialist Pulmonologist with an Australian Board qualification. The role involves delivering comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up care for a wide range of respiratory and sleep‑related disorders while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations, examinations, and assessments for patients with respiratory conditions.
• Diagnose and manage asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep‑related breathing disorders.
• Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and other respiratory investigations.
• Carry out appropriate pulmonary procedures within facility capabilities.
• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and other specialists.
• Educate patients on medication use, lifestyle changes, and disease management.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and participate in audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, and CME activities.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Australian Fellowship/Board qualification in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine (e.g., FRACP) or recognized equivalent.
• Eligibility for Consultant/Specialist Pulmonologist licensing in Dubai (UAE PQR requirements).
• Significant post‑specialty clinical experience in pulmonology/respiratory medicine.
• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic acumen, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Previous experience in a reputable hospital or healthcare group is highly desirable.
