Consultant/Specialist General Surgeon – Dubai, Tax‑Free UAE

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist General Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The position is based in a JCI‑accredited tertiary care hospital offering state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres and a diverse international patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general surgery care.
• Perform elective and emergency procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of surgical conditions.
• Work closely with anesthesiologists, nursing staff and critical‑care specialists to optimise patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Support the development and expansion of surgical services.
• Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience.
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Surgery, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, MS/MCH/DM/FCPS or equivalent).
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH licence conversion (support provided).
