Contracts Engineer – Oil Spill & HNS Services

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will provide specialist knowledge and guidance for assessing business opportunities, preparing bids and executing contracts related to Oil Spill and Hazardous and Noxious Substances (HNS) response services. The role supports the logistics arm of ADNOC by ensuring contracts are commercially sound and aligned with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct evaluation and risk assessment of new business opportunities and develop business case documentation.
• Provide tendering and contracting input, including comprehensive engineering, technical and commercial review of client scopes.
• Draft and negotiate contractual and commercial terms to protect company interests.
• Maintain quality control of tender documents and review technical and commercial bids.
• Create and update contracts in SAP Fiori for sales order processing and invoicing.
• Supply commercial and financial input for compliance audits.
• Participate in on‑call duty roster to respond to emergencies promptly.
• Prepare tender bids in coordination with technical, financial and legal departments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for contractors on existing and future agreements.
• Contribute to contract cost analysis and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of relevant experience in contracts, tendering or maritime logistics.
• Strong understanding of contract law, marine pollution claims and compensation procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies on a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Excellent analytical and commercial judgment.
