Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our construction team in Dubai. The role involves hands‑on monitoring of project budgets, expenditures, commitments, variations and forecasting to ensure cost performance aligns with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs from commencement through completion.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cost reports.
• Track actual expenditure against approved budgets and identify variances.
• Monitor commitments, purchase orders, subcontractor and material costs.
• Maintain project cost codes and ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Produce monthly cost‑control reports and analysis for project management.
• Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC) and cost‑to‑complete forecasts.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess financial impact of variations, claims and change orders.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Finance and Site Engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction cost control within a project environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, subcontracting and site progress impacts on costs.
• Ability to analyse actual vs. budget data and provide actionable insights.
