Cost Control Engineer

About the role

Azizi Industries, the manufacturing arm of Azizi Developments, a leading UAE private real estate developer, is looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer. The role covers Fit-Out, GRC, Ready-Mix Concrete, Precast and related construction and manufacturing industries, and involves monitoring project costs, preparing budgets, analysing cost variances and ensuring effective cost management throughout project execution and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and maintain project budgets and cost control systems.
• Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts and budget performance reports.
• Analyse project costs, material consumption, labour, equipment and overheads.
• Monitor commitments, purchase orders, subcontractor costs and supplier payments.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, Production and Engineering teams.
• Monitor BOQs, project quantities, material requirements and resource utilisation.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend actions to management.
• Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with approved budgets and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost control within construction, manufacturing or engineering.
• Preferred: experience in Fit-Out, GRC manufacturing, Ready-Mix Concrete or Precast; UAE/GCC experience preferred.
