Cost Controller / Business Analyst

About the role

Six Senses The Palm Dubai is seeking a Cost Controller / Business Analyst to support financial operations and drive cost efficiency across the resort. You will work closely with Operations and Food & Beverage teams, providing accurate financial data and analysis to inform decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor operating costs, payroll and departmental expenses against approved budgets.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports and conduct basic variance analysis.
• Collect, validate and organise data from PeopleSoft, POS, PMS, Excel and BI tools.
• Support budgeting and forecasting exercises under supervision.
• Assist with internal controls, audits and compliance with finance policies.
• Analyse cost drivers and operational KPIs in collaboration with Operations and F&B teams.
• Oversee purchasing specifications, supplier quality, price and service to ensure best value.
• Supervise receiving, storing, issuing procedures and inventory rotation to minimise waste and pilferage.
• Maintain financial records using accounting software, journals and ledgers.
• Report issues to the Director of Finance and propose practical solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting body certification preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar finance role within luxury hotels.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
