Counsellor/Therapist (CDA Eligible) – Wellness Centre

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting qualified and compassionate counsellors and therapists to join a leading wellness centre in the UAE. The role involves delivering professional counselling and therapeutic support to individuals, couples, families or groups.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and assessments to identify emotional, psychological and behavioural concerns.
• Provide individual, couples, family or group counselling based on professional scope.
• Develop personalised counselling and therapeutic plans tailored to each client.
• Apply appropriate counselling approaches and therapeutic techniques within professional training.
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain confidential client records and adhere to ethical and safeguarding standards.
• Refer clients to psychologists, psychiatrists or other specialists when required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support overall client well‑being.
• Participate in case reviews, supervision and continuing professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy or a related discipline.
• Relevant counselling or therapeutic experience with recognised approaches.
• Strong communication, listening, empathy and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Valid CDA licence or eligibility to obtain the Community Development Authority professional licence.
