Country Manager – UAE

About the role

Kara Express is seeking a commercially driven leader to head its UAE operations. Based in Dubai, the Country Manager will be responsible for driving growth, overseeing air‑freight and logistics services, and ensuring financial performance across a team of around 40 professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business and strengthen key‑account relationships to increase revenue and gross profit.
• Lead, motivate and develop the commercial and operational teams in the UAE.
• Own the country P&L, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Oversee air‑freight, freight‑forwarding, express and related logistics activities.
• Improve service quality, operational efficiency and profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with airlines, agents, suppliers and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with owners on growth strategy and business development.
• Represent Kara Express with customers, partners and international offices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in UAE logistics and freight‑forwarding, particularly air freight.
• Proven track record in commercial development and business growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead sizable teams and manage a full P&L.
• Strong understanding of margins, pricing, budgeting and profitability.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to take personal ownership.
• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment without large corporate support.
