Creative & Content Manager – Dubai Campus

About the role

The Senior Creative and Content Manager will lead the strategic development and delivery of Heriot‑Watt University’s digital content, social media presence and web output for the Dubai Campus. Reporting to the Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Communications department, you will shape the university’s online reputation and support student recruitment objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the university’s social media, design and web‑content strategy aligned with brand guidelines and recruitment goals.
• Plan, create, publish and optimise engaging content across the website and social channels (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Manage content calendars, community engagement, paid campaigns and Google reviews.
• Lead a multidisciplinary creative team covering social media, web editing, graphic design and artwork.
• Ensure high‑quality, audience‑focused, accessible and brand‑aligned content across all digital platforms.
• Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on channel strategy, website best practices and digital user experience.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in content creation, social media management and digital storytelling.
• Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Strong understanding of brand consistency, audience engagement and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Management of Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn platforms.
• Experience with content calendar planning and paid social campaigns.
• Familiarity with Google reviews and web‑content governance.
