Credit Specialist

About the role

The Credit Specialist will manage customer credit activities, monitor accounts receivable, and assess creditworthiness to ensure timely collection of payments. This role supports cash‑flow health while minimizing credit exposure and coordinates third‑party financing with banks and leasing companies.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess new and existing customers' creditworthiness using financial information, payment history and business background.
• Recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms, and risk‑mitigation measures such as guarantees or deposits.
• Monitor customer credit exposure against approved limits and flag high‑risk accounts.
• Coordinate third‑party financing applications, gather required documentation, and follow up on approvals and disbursements.
• Maintain accurate records of financing applications, terms, and correspondence.
• Prepare aging reports, follow up on overdue invoices, and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Work with Sales, Finance and Operations teams to resolve payment delays and account issues.
• Escalate long‑overdue or high‑risk accounts according to company procedures and support dispute recovery.

Required profile

• Experience in credit assessment, credit control or accounts receivable functions.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk indicators.
• Ability to coordinate with banks, leasing companies and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills to monitor credit exposure and identify potential risks.
• Proactive communication skills for liaising with customers and resolving payment issues.
