Curriculum Specialist – Electrical Engineering

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) is seeking a Curriculum Specialist to lead the design and delivery of electrical engineering programmes across its institutes. You will work closely with programme teams, course coordinators and external partners to ensure high‑quality, outcomes‑based curricula that meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with ADVETI institutes and external stakeholders to promote quality curricular outcomes.
• Collaborate with programme teams and course coordinators to ensure consistency of curricular outcomes across all institutes.
• Facilitate the development, storage and continuous improvement of curriculum documentation and teaching resources.
• Identify and champion best‑practice models, innovative approaches and advanced technologies in teaching, learning and assessment.
• Develop and deliver professional development sessions to enhance teaching quality.
• Monitor current practices in education, curriculum design and assessment, and evaluate their relevance.
• Support a holistic approach to curriculum development by liaising with other Curriculum Specialists.
• Perform administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in teaching, assessment, curriculum development and material writing at senior secondary or diploma vocational level.
• Experience in both Western and Gulf education systems is highly regarded.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility and adaptability to change.
