Curriculum Specialist – Sports Science

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) seeks a seasoned Curriculum Specialist to lead the development, improvement, and implementation of its Sports Science curriculum across its institutes. The role involves close collaboration with program teams, course coordinators, and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, outcomes‑based education.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with ADVETI institutes and external partners to promote quality curricular outcomes in Sports Science.
• Work with program teams and course coordinators to ensure consistency of curricular outcomes across all institutes.
• Facilitate the development, storage, and maintenance of curriculum documentation and advise on teaching resources.
• Identify and champion best‑practice models, innovative approaches, and advanced technology use in teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Develop and deliver professional development sessions to enhance teaching and assessment quality.
• Monitor and evaluate current educational practices, curriculum design, and assessment methods.
• Collaborate with other Curriculum Specialists for a holistic approach to curriculum development.
• Perform administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in teaching, assessment, curriculum development, and material writing for Sports Science at the diploma vocational level.
• Experience in both Western and Gulf education systems is advantageous, as is relevant industry experience.
• Master’s degree in Sports Science or equivalent, plus a teaching qualification.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
