Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative will act as the primary point of contact for consignors and buyers throughout the auction process. This role ensures smooth logistics, accurate payment handling, and proper documentation, delivering a trustworthy experience for all parties involved.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, assisting consignors with equipment delivery to JAFZ and supporting buyers in transporting purchased goods.
• Facilitate ownership transfer by guiding consignors through paperwork required for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
• Assist customers with auction registration, providing clear guidance for a seamless bidding experience.
• Collect payments from buyers in accordance with auction policies and ensure secure processing.
• Prepare and release invoices, paperwork, and release documents to buyers after payment confirmation.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling financial transactions and ownership documents.
• Respond to internal team requests and support Territory Managers to drive auction success.
• Resolve issues related to payments, delivery, or documentation and track all interactions.
• Work extended or overtime hours during auction preparation and auction days as needed.

Required profile

• Friendly, outgoing, and patient personality with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a high‑volume, in‑person customer contact environment, including transactional duties.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team‑player attitude with the ability to support internal stakeholders promptly.
