Customs Clearance Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our supply chain team in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures the smooth, compliant and timely movement of imports and exports, including sensitive and dangerous goods, by coordinating with government authorities, ports and logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Track and organise all import and export shipments.
• Attend air, sea and land ports for shipment clearance as required.
• Prepare and submit customs clearance documentation and Ministry of Defense (MoD) application letters.
• Follow up with MoD, Ministry of Interior, GHQ, Police and Customs on clearance status.
• Arrange and accompany MoD escorts for dangerous‑goods shipments when needed.
• Liaise with shipping agents, freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure shipment readiness.
• Identify delays or risks and propose corrective actions.
• Review logistics processes and recommend improvements.
• Support air, land and sea logistics operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Experience with dangerous‑goods (DG) shipments and customs clearance.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
