Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer will protect NymCard’s payment platform and supporting services by ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data. Working closely with the Information Security head, you will identify risks, design security controls, and help the organization stay compliant with regional regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse information‑security risks and propose feasible security improvements.
• Design and review new infrastructure and platform initiatives from a security perspective.
• Perform regular internal and external vulnerability scans and coordinate penetration tests.
• Support technology teams during security audits, focusing on automated infrastructure audits (IAC security) for cloud services, Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.
• Lead remediation of audit, scan, and pen‑test findings in collaboration with DevOps and other teams.
• Install, configure and maintain mission‑critical security tools such as antivirus, SIEM, DLP and FIM.
• Champion information‑security topics across the organization.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of information‑security principles and best practices.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced FinTech environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory security requirements, especially within the GCC region.
