Data Analyst – Shipping Operations (VIE) in Abu Dhabi

About the role

Reporting directly to the COO and working within the Abu Dhabi Regional Operations team, the V.I.E. will combine operational efficiency improvement with data analytics to support regional performance and strategic decision‑making. The role is created amid a significant network expansion and will support process optimisation, fleet planning, cost management and competitive intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Map, analyse and benchmark line, port and feeder processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing workflow improvements.
• Build and maintain an operational KPI framework, dashboards and monthly efficiency reports for senior management.
• Support vessel allocation, fleet utilisation and capacity planning, developing scenario models for service changes.
• Maintain structured competitive intelligence on rival services, frequencies and vessel deployments using industry platforms.
• Monitor live OPEX and CIP dashboards, produce budget variance reports and conduct port‑cost benchmarking.
• Provide analytical support for new corridors, trade‑lane expansion and business cases for network extensions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Eligible for the V.I.E. programme (EU/EEA nationality, aged 18–28 at start).
• Two to three years of relevant experience and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
