Data Analyst – Shipping Operations (V.I.E.)

About the role

Reporting directly to the COO, you will join the Abu Dhabi Regional Operations team as a V.I.E. Data Analyst. The role blends operational efficiency improvement with data analytics to support regional performance, strategic decision‑making and the company’s network expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Map, analyse and benchmark line, port and feeder processes; identify bottlenecks and implement workflow, schedule and berth‑utilisation improvements.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive KPI framework, dashboards and monthly efficiency reports for senior management.
• Support vessel allocation, fleet utilisation and capacity planning; develop scenario models for service changes.
• Maintain structured competitive intelligence using Alphaliner, LINERLYTICA, MDS Transmodal and AIS tools, delivering regular market insights.
• Monitor OPEX and CIP through live cost dashboards, weekly variance reports and port‑cost benchmarking.
• Provide analytical support for new corridors, trade‑lane expansion and business cases for network extensions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Data Science, Business or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
