Data Engineer – Build Pipelines & Data Lakes

About the role

Dubai Holding is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions that empower product teams. You will build and manage data pipelines, lakes, and warehouses while ensuring high‑quality data delivery and compliance with privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Develop ETL jobs, stored procedures, functions, and packages.
• Implement and enforce ETL operating standards and data‑quality best practices.
• Collaborate with backend developers, IT architects, and product owners to integrate analytics and AI use cases.
• Translate product requirements into engineering road‑maps and technical specifications.
• Support bug fixing, performance optimisation, and agile delivery across cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, etc.). Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proven experience with big‑data platforms such as Databricks, Spark, Hive, or Palantir Foundry.
• Hands‑on experience implementing AI solutions, including OCR and large language models.
• Strong background in data modelling, design patterns, and building secure, scalable analytical solutions.
