Data Governance And MDM Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & MDM Specialist to bridge business strategy, data stewardship and technical data management. The role will define and operationalise data governance policies, lead business analysis for data initiatives and ensure master data assets are accurate, consistent and securely managed.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications, user stories and technical data requirements.
• Conduct data mapping, root‑cause analysis of data discrepancies and gap analysis across processes and pipelines.
• Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions between business stakeholders, analytics teams and technical engineers.
• Serve as domain SME for MDM architectures (customer, vendor, product, asset) and partner with engineering to configure, tune match/merge rules, manage entity resolution and hierarchy using Informatica MDM or equivalent.
• Validate data integration pipelines feeding into and out of the MDM hub to maintain a single source of truth.
• Define and enforce data privacy, confidentiality and access‑control guidelines, designing RBAC and ABAC models and integrating tools such as One Identity Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data governance, master data management and data security.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for cross‑functional workshops.

Required skills

• Informatica MDM (or equivalent enterprise MDM platform).
• Data Access Control – RBAC, ABAC.
• One Identity Manager or similar access‑control tools.
• Data mapping, root‑cause analysis and gap analysis.
• Scripting or programming experience for data validation.
