Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Specialist

About the role

The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Specialist will lead the DLP service for a client in Abu Dhabi, covering endpoint, network, email, Microsoft 365, cloud/SaaS and business workflows. You will be responsible for designing, governing and continuously improving DLP policies to reduce data leakage risk while ensuring business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage DLP policies using Forcepoint DLP and Microsoft Purview across all data channels.
• Translate business processes, regulatory requirements and data classification needs into detection rules, regex, dictionaries and label‑aware controls.
• Monitor incidents, prioritize high‑risk cases, coordinate investigations and drive remediation with data owners.
• Analyze false positives/negatives, tune policies and manage documented exceptions with periodic recertification.
• Integrate DLP with SIEM/SOAR, ITSM, CASB/SWG, DRM and incident‑response workflows.
• Produce operational metrics, business reports and executive insights on risk reduction.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation, policy version control and test records.
• Mentor junior DLP engineers and ensure technical quality of policy changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in information security, specifically DLP program delivery.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional stakeholder engagement (Legal, Privacy, HR, IT, business units).
• Relevant certifications such as Forcepoint DLP Administrator/Professional, Microsoft SC‑400, CISSP, CISM or CISA are preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in incident handling and policy tuning.
