Debt Capital Markets Associate

About the role

The Associate role in Mizuho's Primary Debt Markets team offers exposure to a growing business, supporting the origination of debt products for a diverse client base across corporate, sovereign and financial institution sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare marketing materials, weekly pricing updates, pitchbooks and market publications for the MENA region.
• Maintain and analyse a detailed database of issuance volumes, balance‑sheet metrics, credit ratings and perform basic financial modelling.
• Interact with trading and sales teams to gather market colour and investor feedback on primary and secondary transactions.
• Support senior team members in transaction execution, including pre‑execution material preparation and post‑execution follow‑up.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Self‑starter with strong analytical mindset and ability to work as part of a team.
• Understanding of bond mathematics and factors influencing bond prices.
• Commitment to compliance regulations and strong controls focus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminal.
• High level of computer literacy, data manipulation and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of primary and secondary debt markets.
• Financial structuring techniques and basic modelling capabilities.
