Demi Chef de Partie – Culinary Team

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at a luxury hotel in Dubai. The role involves preparing special meals, managing kitchen equipment, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and manage food thawing processes.
• Pull items from freezer storage, ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish, and maintain food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials, and update service staff on menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare cold foods and follow food preparation checklists.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report maintenance issues and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen experience, with mandatory experience in breakfast operations.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in a fast‑paced environment.
