Demi Chef De Partie – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

The Demi Chef De Partie will work under the Jr. Sous Chef in the hotel kitchen, delivering high‑quality food for à la carte and buffet services. This role combines hands‑on cooking with team coordination to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly, and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues.
• Prepare all food items consistently according to hotel recipes and standards for à la carte and buffet menus.
• Participate in daily shift briefings, sharing ideas and suggestions.
• Communicate guest feedback with Outlet Chefs and keep the team informed of standards.
• Conduct daily mise en place checks to ensure freshness, quality, and proper product rotation.
• Maintain full knowledge of menu items, daily features, and promotions.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow kitchen policies, safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the culinary field.
• Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent.
• Diploma or certification in a culinary discipline (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 30 lb, kneel, and use ladders or stairs as needed.

Required skills

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications.
