Demi Chef de Partie – Luxury Hotel Kitchen

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie will support the Chef de Partie in delivering high‑quality dishes within the luxury setting of Fairmont Bab Al Bahr. Working in a dedicated kitchen section, you will help ensure smooth service and uphold the hotel’s culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily production and ensure timely preparation of menu items.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to Fairmont recipes and quality specifications.
• Maintain proper mise en place and ensure consistency in taste, texture, portioning and presentation.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and junior staff when required.
• Uphold HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards across all workstations.
• Manage storage, labeling and rotation of ingredients to preserve freshness and reduce waste.
• Support receiving, checking and storing of kitchen supplies.
• Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure seamless service during peak periods.
• Participate in menu development, special events and promotional projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a comparable role within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
