Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry will support the pastry kitchen at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, preparing a variety of pastry items and ensuring high standards of quality, presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; monitor food logs and portioning.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, ensure proper garnish and arrangement of dishes.
• Maintain food quality and quantity, inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and performance coaching.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report maintenance needs and incidents.
• Uphold uniform standards, protect confidential information and company assets.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods and moving items.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant pastry experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
