Department Manager – Luxury Retail

About the role

The Department Manager works closely with the Store Manager to ensure the department runs smoothly, meets KPIs and contributes to the overall success of the store. This role combines sales leadership, visual merchandising, and team development within a luxury fashion environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the department’s business, set performance targets and monitor KPIs.
• Analyse sales data, propose action plans and respond to competitor activity.
• Utilise clienteling and CRM tools to deliver exceptional customer service and build loyalty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, inventory accuracy and visual‑merchandising standards.
• Report stock issues to the Stock Planning and Merchandising team.
• Coach, motivate and organise the team, conduct regular performance reviews and deliver training.
• Align visual merchandising with sales performance and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in fashion or luxury sales.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong understanding of luxury retail operations and customer journey.

• Experience with CRM tools.
