Deployment Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer to join our team on a 6‑month freelance contract. This hybrid position combines onsite work in Abu Dhabi with remote collaboration across the UAE. You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases across development, testing, and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute application and software deployments across multiple environments.
• Manage release schedules and ensure seamless delivery of updates.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Operations teams throughout the release lifecycle.
• Automate deployment processes and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Monitor deployments, troubleshoot issues, and support rollback and disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain deployment documentation, release notes, and operational runbooks.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and change‑management standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in deployment engineering, release management, DevOps or system administration.
• Strong understanding of software release processes and stakeholder management.
• Experience working in enterprise‑scale environments is a plus.
