Design Coordinator

About the role

The Campus Physical Development Office at Zayed University is looking for a Design Coordinator to lead architectural and interior/exterior design projects across both campuses. The role supports planning, renovation, and event‑space layouts, ensuring functional and aesthetic standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate design activities within the Campus Physical Development Office.
• Prepare drawings and layout designs for campus buildings and propose improvements.
• Use AutoCAD for design and space analysis; create presentation drawings with Photoshop and 3D Max.
• Draft specifications for renovation works on both campuses.
• Design workstation layouts, furniture, indoor plants and landscaping details.
• Develop layout options for campus events such as fashion shows and awards ceremonies.
• Prepare tender invitations and liaise with material suppliers.
• Oversee project execution in coordination with the development team and participate in new facility planning.
• Meet with departmental users to gather requirements and finalize design plans.
• Select materials and furniture, subject to senior management approval.
• Coordinate event setup and space allocation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of landscape and interior design principles.
• Proven experience in architecture and design, capable of independent decision‑making.
• Familiarity with construction processes and site specifications is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various university departments.
