Design Engineer – Automotive Sheet Metal (Dubai)

About the role

The company is seeking a Design Engineer to create automotive sheet‑metal components in Dubai. You will work on new part development, prototype support and design optimisation using CATIA and SolidWorks. The role requires close collaboration with production and quality teams to meet customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive parts, components and sheet‑metal assemblies using CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, 2D detailed drawings and Bills of Materials in line with company standards.
• Apply sheet‑metal design, fabrication and manufacturing knowledge to ensure DFM and DFA.
• Perform basic design calculations and work to customer technical specifications.
• Coordinate with production and quality for prototype development and approval.
• Modify designs to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Maintain design documentation, drawings and records, supporting NPD and design changes.

Required profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years experience as a Design Engineer in automotive or sheet‑metal design.
• Proficiency in CATIA and SolidWorks (both mandatory).
• Experience with GD&T, engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and tolerances.
• Currently residing in Dubai and available to join immediately.
