Design Engineer – Formwork

About the role

Azizi Developments is seeking an experienced Design Engineer – Formwork to create safe, accurate and cost‑effective formwork and shoring solutions for its construction projects across Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement, assembly and basic steel fabrication drawings, as well as 2D and 3D models for formwork and shoring.
• Perform independent engineering calculations using design tables, Excel templates and structural analysis software.
• Produce material take‑offs, maintain drawing registers and ensure designs meet project sequencing and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team leaders, senior engineers and suppliers to resolve technical queries and support site teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of formwork design experience in construction or civil engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of BS/European standards, temporary works principles and proprietary systems such as PERI or Doka.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred and willingness to travel to sites.

Required skills

• AutoCAD 2D (excellent) and AutoCAD 3D (advantage).
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Structural analysis/temporary works design software.
• Practical experience with PERI, Doka or equivalent formwork systems.
