Design Manager – Interiors (Real Estate, Hotels & Residential)

About the role

The Design Manager – Interiors will lead interior design for hospitality and retail projects within Al Futtaim Group’s Development & Design department. You will ensure design quality, brand compliance, and operational functionality from concept through construction, while supporting market research and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define design briefs that capture project context, brand positioning, guest experience expectations, and technical criteria.
• Guide interior design projects from concept vision through schematic design, tender documentation and construction, advising project management throughout delivery.
• Lead design reviews for quality, compliance, brand alignment and operational functionality, including FF&E, lighting, MEP and fire‑life‑safety coordination.
• Prepare executive presentation material, including concept narratives, material palettes and detailed commentary.
• Research hospitality and retail interior trends, develop design guidelines, templates and review processes.
• Support market research, strategy development and financial assessments, define budgets, conduct cost analysis and advise procurement.
• Manage project schedules, milestones and progress reporting for interior design phases; support contract and commercial management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing interior design for hospitality and retail projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to resolve conflicting feedback.
• Experience preparing executive‑level presentations and design documentation.
• Ability to conduct market and trend research to inform design strategy.
