Design Manager

About the role

AtkinsRealis is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design delivery across projects in the UAE and GCC region. The role involves coordinating design teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering high‑quality outputs on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Design Management Plan in collaboration with the Project Manager and design team.
• Coordinate technical input from all disciplines, sub‑consultants and the client, managing interfaces and change requirements.
• Track design progress, identify risks, and support mitigation actions with the wider project team.
• Oversee quality assurance, ensuring deliverables are reviewed and approved before client submission.
• Manage design budgets, confirm contractual deliverables, and support invoicing processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of design experience in the Middle East, including at least 3 years in design management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
