Design Manager – Site

About the role

Egis Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the on‑site design team for construction projects in Dubai. You will ensure seamless integration of architectural and engineering elements while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the design team, including architects, engineers, and other design professionals.
• Oversee the development and implementation of design strategies for the construction project.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure design compliance and address on‑site design challenges.
• Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet design objectives.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the design phase.
• Analyze and resolve complex design issues, providing innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Manage design budgets and timelines, optimizing resources for project success.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in construction design.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of architecture experience with proven on‑site design management.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation, building codes, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to lead design teams effectively.
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and resource allocation for design projects.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure quality control in design processes.
• Familiarity with sustainability principles and green building practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Professional certification (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) preferred.
• Willingness to travel to various construction sites within the UAE.
