Design Manager – Spa & Wellness

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Design Manager to lead Spa & Wellness projects for luxury and ultra‑luxury hospitality developments. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical compliance, and drive design excellence from concept through hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development and coordination for Spa & Wellness facilities, covering treatment rooms, wet areas, hammams, saunas, steam rooms, hydrotherapy and vitality pools.
• Manage multidisciplinary coordination between architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, specialist suppliers and construction teams.
• Oversee technical review of specialist systems, thermal cabins, hydrotherapy equipment and related MEP requirements.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, material selections and construction details.
• Identify design risks and constructability challenges, providing effective resolutions.
• Support site teams during construction, testing, commissioning and hand‑over.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in design management or technical design coordination, with at least 5 years dedicated to Spa & Wellness projects.
• Proven experience on high‑end, luxury or ultra‑luxury hospitality developments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex design integration.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of thermal cabins, hydrotherapy facilities and specialist wellness equipment.
• Understanding of architectural, structural and MEP interfaces.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating shop drawings, technical submittals and construction details.
• Familiarity with waterproofing, insulation, vapor barriers and high‑end architectural finishes.
