Design Manager – Wet Utility

About the role

AtkinsRealis is looking for a seasoned Design Manager to lead the wet‑utility design stream in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure design quality, coordinate across multiple design disciplines, and align deliverables with the vision for THE LINE project.

Key responsibilities

• Guide designers, review design outputs and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Facilitate design coordination and review workshops across Core Real Estate Asset, Non‑Common Asset, Façade, Sustainability and Public Realm design streams.
• Maintain Design KPI, Risk and Safety‑in‑Design registers and ensure timely closure of review comments.
• Support Design Directors in managing interfaces with the City, neighbourhoods and anchor assets.
• Oversee design delivery against the development programme and initial asset briefs.

Required profile

• 15+ years of post‑undergraduate architectural design and management experience.
• Proven experience managing international design consultants across residential, commercial, public, healthcare and educational typologies.
• B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture; postgraduate qualification in Architecture or Urban Design is preferred.
• International accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent) and sustainability certification experience (LEED, PQP) are highly desirable.
