Design & Projects Manager - Civil Engineering

About the role

The Emirates Group Facilities Management team is seeking a Design & Projects Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of civil engineering and interior fit‑out projects across Dubai and overseas locations. You will be responsible for translating user requirements into high‑quality commercial property designs while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse user requirements and develop standardized specifications, costings and schedules for in‑station and out‑station projects.
• Plan, manage and control fit‑out and renovation works, coordinating with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and review design drawings, engineering plans and interior design standards.
• Negotiate material and design approvals, ensuring best quality and market‑competitive value.
• Monitor contractor progress reports, track project delivery against scope, schedule, quality and budget.
• Maintain compliance with building codes and corporate space‑planning standards.
• Collaborate with user departments to advise on construction and commissioning requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, large‑scale commercial fit‑out or refurbishment projects.
• Proven experience managing contractors, consultants and multi‑disciplinary stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of interior design standards and cost‑control practices.
